New consignment stores Opening In Rockwell City 

An economical way to buy quality items has just arrived in Rockwell City with the opening of Twice Around the Square Consignment and Thrift Shoppes. Although there is a community outreach shop already in Rockwell City, owners Cindy & Randy Patterson says that his new store will offer a wider variety than just thrift clothes. "We'll sell not only children's clothes but everything from furniture right down to adult clothes, jewelry, and accessories," said Patterson.  

The stores, which are located on the Southeast corner of the square in Rockwell City, is adjacent to and accessible through Cindy’s Boutique, a new shop opened featuring handcrafted gifts, antiques, and collectibles as well as other fine gifts.

Three major shoppes are the Cindy's Boutique Gifts, Twice Around the Square Consignment Clotheing, and the Twice Around the Square FurnitureFlea Market.  3 enjoyable shoppes to come to Rockwell City to sell your products or toshop at.

 According to Patterson, the economy has made consumers more interested in going to stores featuring low prices. "Consignment stores are very popular now because of the economy, and they carry nicer things than your typical thrift store does," Patterson said. "I decided to have a thrift store part too because I wanted to make it affordable for everybody to be able to shop." Patterson thinks that Twice Around the Square Consignment Shoppes provides an economical and classy shopping option. "When most people come in, they say the store looks more like a gift shop than a consignment store," said  Patterson.

Although the Patterson’s have not owned or operated a consignment business before, they have had years of experience behind the retail counter.

 "This is my first endeavor as far as opening a consignment store," Patterson said, "but we've been in retail for over 25 years and feel there is a need for a shop like ours in this community and we hope it will bring new traffic to other retailers in the area as well." 

Store hours are -

Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Saturday 9 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.

About Cindy's Boutique

Cindy's Boutique is a store that features Gifts, Handcrafted gifts, and small antiques and collectibles that have been put on consignment here in our shops.  "We want to be known as a place where local arts and craftsman vcan bring their creations to show and sell their fine works yeaar round.  We encourage creativity and hope some of the younger people in our area will also take atvantage of this opportunity.  Artists amd craftsmen throughout the midest are also bringing their works of art to the shop.  "We have Calligraphy, Basskets, Children's Wooden Puzzles, Picture Frames, Microwave heating pads, and embroidery", says Patterson.  Also noted were plans for candles, soaps, lotions, handcrafted greeting cards, small oak furniture, and much more. 

Also to be found here are small antiques and collectibles.  "The flood gates are open and we are starting to see many small antiques starting to make their way into our shop.  "We have just purchased some glass security cases to display the smaller pieces in and had requests for everything from coins, to lighters, to Budwiser mugs".  Patterson goes on to say "If you have one item you would like to bring in or boxes of unique items we welcome them".  

As the entrance to Twice Around the Square Consignment Shoppes is currently through this shop the store hours are the same for all the shops.

Now Open!!!  "Trash & Treasures - Antiques, Furniture & Fleas Market"

With over 70 boots available we anticipate the opening of this unique business to draw customers from a very large area.  We will have nearly 6000 square feet avaoilable for booth rental.  See our Flea Market contract for more information on renting space.  As a customer we can tell you we already have signed up fine antiques, a wedding shop that closed, many household goods, and we have even had a trampoline dropped off.  The store IS OPEN the same hours as above but will have an official Grand Opening onApril 22nd.  In addition to thousands of items from tree fungus, yes! tree fungus, to fine antiques, and with flea market items to record albums there is something for everbody to see at Trash & Treasures.  We have a 17th Century China vase, pictures and frames from the 1800's, depression glass, and even a White house cook book from the early 1900's.  We have glassware, salt & pepper shakers, figurines, wicker, avon, comic books, pencils, matchboxes, and did I mention we have free coffee and a great place to sit and enjoy it.  Come alone or with friends, we invite you to stop in, just South of highway 20 on the Southeast corner of the square.  Well worth the trip!  Oh Yea!!!  Did I mention the FREE COFFEE!
